What the customer told us
Grinding noise from the front when stopping, worse in the morning. Pedal felt normal otherwise.
What we found
Front pads were at 1mm with the wear indicator fully worn through and scoring into both rotors. Rears measured 6mm and had plenty of life left, so we did not recommend touching them. Fluid tested at 2 percent moisture, which is borderline.
What we did
Front ceramic pads and rotors, cleaned and greased the slide pins, replaced two seized caliper bracket bolts, and did a brake fluid flush since the fluid was near the replacement threshold.
How it came out
No noise, even pedal, straight stops on the road test. We showed her the rear pads in the inspection photos and told her they were fine.
